THANK YOU

Scottish Sporting Memorabilia Auction

This Auction will be held at The Robert Adam Room, The Trades Hall, Glasgow from 10.00am on the 10th April.

Pre-Sale Viewing: Public viewing on Tuesday 9th of April at the Robert Adam Room, Trades Hall of Glasgow, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, G1 1UH is from 9:30am to 17:00pm.

Going under the hammer will be over 500 lots and the vast majority will be Scottish related. Our earliest lot will be an 8-page booklet Rules of the Game of Golf dated 1842, Est: £3,200-3,800, another golf highlight is the silver-glit replica of the Ryder Cup presented to three-time Scottish Ryder Cup golfer George Will, Est: £5,000-8,000.

Our football section will range from the late Victorian era right through to 21st Century and a Queen’s Park shirt worn by Hugh Smith in 1895 will certainly be a sale highlight Est: £5,000-8,000. In the same season, St Bernard’s won their first and to date only Scottish Cup final victory and the winners medal awarded to St Bernard’s Captain George Murdoch is also included in the sale £3,000-5,000. The Old Firm are well represented in the auction and from blue half of the city we have Derek Johnstone’s 1972 European Cup Winners Cup Final match worn shirt Est: £15,000-20,000 and another club legend The Alex Miller shirt collection comprising 102 lots. From the green and white side, we have Legendary club manager Jock Stein’s 1976-77 League Championship medal Est: £4,000-6,000, Lisbon Lion Stevie Chalmers last-ever Celtic match worn shirt from 1971 £3,000-5,000 and match shirt worn by King Kenny in 1977 £1,000-1,500.

Without doubt the Scotland shirt worn by Eddie McCreadie in arguably one of Scotland greatest ever results when they defeated their Auld Enemy and reigning World Champions England 3-2 at Wembley on 15th April 1967. The remarkable game will be forever remembered for Jim Baxter’s keepie-uppies. Eddie was one of only a few players to swap immediately after the match when he exchanged with Sir Geoff Hurst Est: £7,000-10,000.
