A fine pair of 'Gardiner's Club Lawn Tennis Poles' made at Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire and with a design number first registered in 1883, a heavy iron support extends from the end of each pole, this fitted into a tube set in the ground, thereby no heavy iron base was required, the current condition suggests they have hardly been used
