The above shirt was prepared for Mahrez for the 2019 Community Shield match against Liverpool played on 4th August 2019 City defeating Liverpool 5-4 on penalties after the match finish 1-1 after extra time.

The one-off designed shirt while the keepers received a more low-key design, which were just based on a standard team wear template shirt from Puma with ironed on name & numbers. Mahrez was originally selected to start the fixture but City officials were concerned with a tablet he had been given while away on international duty with Algeria so insisted, he be checked by the City medical team before he played again as a precaution.
