Celebrating Tennis History: Inside the Grand Slam Timed Auction with Golden Age of Tennis

For this summer’s Grand Slam Timed Auction of Tennis Memorabilia, Graham Budd Auctions has joined forces with Golden Age of Tennis - a brand that has redefined vintage court style for a new generation.

Since launching in 2020, Golden Age of Tennis has championed the style and swagger of tennis’s most charismatic era - when players like Borg, McEnroe, and Connors lit up the game with flair on and off the court.

That spirit lives on in this auction.

Among the standout pieces is a signed colour photo of Björn Borg lifting the Wimbledon trophy - captured during his dominant run in the early 1980s. Signed in blue marker and mounted for display, it’s a snapshot of one of the game’s true icons, five-time Wimbledon champion and master of calm under pressure.

Also featured is a group coaching session and talk with John Lloyd. Held in Florida, the experience includes time on court, lunch, and an after-dinner speech with the former British No. 1 and Davis Cup captain, taking you back to some of the best moments of 20th century tennis.

Collectors will also find a stunning archive of racquets. From early wooden frames to those used by Fred Perry in his rise to stardom, these are pieces that bring substance and story to any collection.

Across 150+ lots, this auction captures tennis through the decades - from modern match-worn gear to pieces of pure retro flair. It’s a tribute to the evolution of the game, and a chance for fans to own a slice of its history.

Bidding closes at 7pm on 13 July.
