Red for Ruth 2025: Match-Worn Memorabilia and Exclusive Experiences
The Lord’s crowd turned a sea of red once again this summer as Red for Ruth Day returned for its seventh edition - a fixture now firmly part of the cricketing calendar.
Held on Day Two of the England v India Test, this year’s event united fans, players, and broadcasters in support of the Ruth Strauss Foundation. As part of the partnership, a special timed auction is now live, raising funds through a standout collection of match-worn shirts, signed caps, original artworks, and exclusive cricketing experiences.
The Ruth Strauss Foundation
Launched by Sir Andrew Strauss in memory of his late wife Ruth - who died of non-smoking lung cancer at just 46 - the Foundation provides vital support for families facing the death of a parent, and funds research into non-smoking lung cancers.
Red for Ruth Day has become its flagship event: a moment of reflection and solidarity, raising awareness through action, donations, community fundraising, and this official auction.

A Record-Breaking Day at the Home of Cricket
Each shirt and cap in the auction was worn during Red for Ruth Day - and many were part of historic moments.
Joe Root made history with his 211th Test catch, overtaking Rahul Dravid to become the leading fielder in Test history. He also scored his 37th Test century and set a new career aggregate record at Lord’s.
Jasprit Bumrah claimed a five-wicket haul, earning a place on the Lord’s Honours Board. Jofra Archer, back after 1,511 days, struck with his third delivery - his long-awaited return punctuated by pace and precision. KL Rahul scored his tenth Test century, becoming the first Indian in nearly three decades to feature twice on the Honours Board.
Rishabh Pant overtook MS Dhoni as the highest-scoring visiting wicketkeeper in England and became the all-time leader in Test sixes against them.
England edged the match by 22 runs in a final-day thriller, but it was the individual feats - from both sides - that defined the occasion.

Own a Piece of the Day
Working closely with the England and India teams, and the Ruth Strauss Foundation, each shirt and cap was collected directly after the match, signed by the players, and entrusted to us to help tell their story.
Alongside the memorabilia sits a range of one-off lots - including rare experiences and original pieces from artists and supporters - all contributing to the Foundation’s cause.
The auction runs until Saturday 27th July - a limited window to secure something truly unique.
Whether you're bidding for a shirt or one of the other one-of-a-kind lots, you’ll be helping the Ruth Strauss Foundation support families facing the death of a parent and fund research into non-smoking lung cancers.
