David Convery

David Convery

David, a consummate auctioneer and specialist in the world of sporting memorabilia, joined the Graham Budd team in October '22.

With over 34 years of experience in the auction industry, David has had an illustrious career, starting at Christie's Glasgow before moving on to become the Associate Director/Head of Sporting Memorabilia at Christie's South Kensington where he oversaw several high-profile sporting collections, including the sale of the Bobby Moore Collection and the 1966 World Cup-winners' collection. He later went on to become the Managing Director of Convery Auctions. Throughout his career, he has achieved several notable highlights, including the sale of the oldest existing F.A. Cup for a then world auction record price of £488,000, and Pele's 1970 World Cup final shirt, which sold for £157,750. David's expertise extends beyond sporting memorabilia. He is also a specialist in categories such as collectables, and Scottish art.

We are excited to have David on board as a valued member of our team at Graham Budd. His extensive knowledge and experience will undoubtedly benefit our clients and help us continue to provide outstanding service in the auction world.
