A Southport Palace Hotel menu signed by the Great Britain Rugby League XIII 5th November 1951, signed on the reverse in ink The Great Britain team were staying in Southport during the three Test Match series with New Zealand. Moreover, they were training for the 2nd Test at Station Road, Swinton, on 10th November 1951 which was the first time that a rugby league match had been broadcast (BBC) on British television.
