An archive of boxing memorabilia relating to Dick Walsh of Warrington described on the front cover of Boxing Magazine (21st August 1918) as Manager of the Largest Boxing Stable in England, including a long handbill for an Easter Grand Boxing Tournament at the Grand Theatre, Douglas, Isle of Man, the bill including 'Fighting' Dick Walsh of Liverpool v 'Demon' Hawkins of Douglas at 9st., the aforementioned Boxing Magazine featuring Walsh on the cover, a pass issued to Walsh from A H Taylor Director of Liverpool Stadium allowing him to ringside at anytime, a letter from Jack Hunter the boxing P.T.I., hand written accounts for boxing tournaments in 1919-1920; a Welterweight Championship of the World fight ticket Henry Armstrong v Ernie Roderick at Harringay 25.5.39, and over 50 real photo postcards of boxers of the period that includes signed examples for Jimmy Wilde Flyweight Champion of the World, the French woman Mlle. Marthe Carpentier Female Champion of the World, Jerry Walker of Long Eaton active 1915 to 1933 & Fred Stanley of Birmingham active 1911-1928, the lot also has a few photographs (a qty.)
