David King (photographer) MUHAMMAD ALI No.1 from a very limited edition of 25 released by David King, the image 14 1/2 by 21 1/2in., mounted, framed & glazed, overall 57.5 by 77.5cm., 22 1/2 by 30 1/2in.; with a COA from David King, and a related newspaper article (3) David King photographed Muhammad Ali training in his Pennsylvania camp in 1974 ahead of the famous 'Rumble in the Jungle' with George Foreman in Zaire. This series of photos are acclaimed by many critics to be the finest photographs ever taken of Ali. Included in thus lot is an Independent newspaper from 2001 with an article providing a glowing review. The article also explains that the photographs were hand printed by Mike Spry at Downtown Darkroom on silver gelatin fibre-based paper, archivally treated and air-dried. The print is framed under UV resistant glass.
