Unused colour posters for all five Grand Prix held at Aintree, similar to the previous lot, comprising 1955, 1957, 1959, 1961 & 1962, some artwork by Roy Nockolds, size 75 by 51cm., 30 by 20 in., plus an additional two 1955 posters and smaller flyers from race sponsor the Daily Telegraph, including a stop-press announcement that the Mercedes-Benz team would race (9) Aintree hosted two Grand Prix that were of particular historic significance: 1955 which marked the first time a British driver had won the British GP (and was also the first of Stirling Moss' 16 GP victories); 1957 which marked the first British GP to be won by a British driver in a British car - Stirling Moss again, but this time sharing the driving with Tony Brooks in a Vanwall.
